Coconut & Marshmallow covered chocolate cake with creamy filling; Sound good huh? Well that is the description of Green Lanterns Balls, His “Glo Balls” to be precise. In their Never-ending quest to profit from childhood obesity, ‘Hostess’ has done it again. Now this is not a new product… They are just green colored ‘Sno Balls’ which have been out since the fifties. In addition, they have the green Glo Balls every year around Saint Patty’s Day to capitalize on the holiday. However adding Green Lanterns name to them gets more attention from kids and along with the Flash Cakes (cupcakes with red and yellow frosting), it just adds to the obvious comedy of using super heroes (extremely disciplined and fit athletes) to sell junk food.
Now these have been out since late last year, so why did I just get around to talking about them? Well first, this site is only a few months old. However more importantly I did not even know these existed until I saw this hilarious video by Tallest Silver.
